(Finally made it to the Antelop Canyon in Page, Arizona and it was quite of a drive. 5-hour drive and my bro-in-law was quite pissed! :))

Seattle and its usual self

It was so nice and warm for a couple of days and now Seattle is back to its usual gloomy weather. SUCKS! :( For a few days, we all thought winter is finally over and has stepped aside for spring, but we were wrong!
Seattle’s weather is too tricky to do any precise prediction. :)

I went up to Lynnwood on Sunday first to pay a visit to the temple, and secondly to visit a friend that just gave birth to a beautiful boy. Did I say the weather was nice on that day? :) Well, it must be because there was like 4000+ of ppl went to the temple on that day. We arrived at the parking lot at 11AM, and the parking lot was already 98% full and then patiently waited for 1hour and 15 min to finally get on the van for them to shuttle us to the temple. We were going to catch the Lion Dance show and watch the firecrackers but only manage to get to the temple half an hour after they were done with it. Bleh!

(The smoke from the incenses was thick and there is no way you could escape the smell/smoke even thought it was outdoors, vast sky. You could somewhat imagine how thick the smoke was from the picture above)

(More lanterns! :) I think the colorful lanterns give visitors a festive feeling.)

(This temple is one of the biggest temples in Seattle and only opens on special ceremonies. It was built by monks and lay people using design elements from Taiwanese and Vietnamese temples.)

We didn't get out of the temple until 2ish. The journey was longer than I anticipated haha. And, most of the time was spent on waiting in line. Waiting to get shuttle to the temple then waiting in line for our lunch then waiting again to get shuttle back to our cars haha.

(I went and picked some dried lavenders after I got back from the visitation. This thing smells so good and calming. :) I found this hidden treasure while I was out with a classmate to do some portrait pictures for my Photography class.)

(I put some in the living room and some in the bathroom and now the living room smells full of lavender. :))

YAY, Seattle has its first snow of the year! :)

A naked tree with the fluffy white stuff :)

 The neighborhood
It is really nice to see everything is covered with white.
However, it will be so dirty and messy once the snow starting to melt. The slushiness makes everything on the roads looks gross. Bleh!

The snow was so heavy that it was weighing down the bamboo bushes in our backyard.

My blueberry tree in the winter. I love this tree because we don't really do anything to nurture it and every summer it still gives us a lot of blueberries. :)

Spring collection

I am so thankful that we made it home safely today. The weather forecast says there will be wet snow showers today but we totally forgot about that until we were on the road and heading up North to do our weekly shopping spree. The traffics were horrible. The moment we entered the freeway it was gridlock so I ended up taking a local way. Well, not like the local way is any faster but at least our wheels were moving continuously so it gave a feeling of not being stuck and wasting our time. It was still much better than staying in one place and seeing the endless congestion.

When we were 5 exits away from the outlet then it started to snow heavily. I have never driven in such heavy snow before. Luckily, it was a wet snow shower so the snow didn't stick at all. It was nice to see the snow and to see naked trees covered with white but I'm telling you it was not fun driving in the snow. We did not want to get estranged at the outlet so we made it a super quick shopping spree. :) Anyway, check out our new collection.

Christmas Lights in Leavenworth

We went to Leavenworth to see the Christmas lights. I have been to the Bavarian town numerous times already but never once been there while the Christmas lights are up. This is my first time been to Leavenworth in the Winter. We got there around 2:30 PM and it was warmer than I anticipated.  It was 30 something Fahrenheit and gloomy but no snow at all. But after an hour then it started to snow heavily.

You can kind of see the mountain in the back with some snow

The town is slowly lit up! :)

The town is bright and beautifully lit up.

It snows heavily by the time we left the town.
